Alpha Sigma Phi and Triangle Fraternities and Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Partner with G.I.N. System, Develop New Web Tools

GAINESVILLE, FL, July 7, 2008- The Group Interactive Network (G.I.N.) System announces today its partnership with Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc., Triangle Fraternity, and Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc.  The G.I.N. System team will design new websites for all three groups and provide member communication tools for local Alpha Sigma Phi and Kappa Delta Chi chapters across the country.

Reflecting each organization’s mission and brand, the new websites feature a custom editing tool that allows Fraternity and Sorority leaders to easily update the sites and manage content.

G.I.N.’s member communication tools include chapter websites and secure Members-Only systems, which feature e-mail and text messaging groups, secure file sharing, announcements, surveys, voting, and a Facebook Application that allows instant communication through Facebook.    The G.I.N. System’s Headquarters Communication System allows national organizations to share timely information with all members and alumni, through the G.I.N. System and Facebook.

“Alpha Sigma Phi, Triangle, and Kappa Delta Chi came to us wanting contemporary and easy-to-use websites that are highly functional yet still affordable. We are excited to work with all three organizations to develop sites that are both attractive and easy to navigate—and that update each group’s web presence with cutting edge technology,” said Ethan Fieldman, G.I.N.’s President.  “Each group has specific objectives, but each hopes to support their values and goals through our communication tools. We work closely with each group to distinguish their organization on the web and help connect them to members, alumni and the community.”

Examples of how these organizations are applying G.I.N.’s web communication tools include:

  • Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc. is a national men’s fraternity with 69 chapters and colonies across the country. Alpha Sigma Phi will launch a new Fraternity website and offer its collegiate chapters a G.I.N. Members-Only system and easy-to-use, custom web designs.   “Alpha Sigma Phi’s Strategic Vision seeks to recruit the best and brightest and to provide those men with a wide range of character and leadership development opportunities that are relevant to today’s college student, replicable across chapters, and recognizable.  We are confident that our new website and chapter communication tools support that vision and will enhance our members’ experience,” said Steve Latour, Director of Communications for Alpha Sigma Phi. Alpha Sigma Phi will launch these tools at their Grand Chapter in early August.

  • Triangle Fraternity is a national men’s organization with 32 active chapters across the U.S.  G.I.N. is designing the new Triangle Fraternity website that launches July 10. “Our Fraternity seeks to develop balanced men in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, and Science by providing an environment which fosters personal growth and professional success. We are pleased to introduce a new website and enhance our means for communicating with parents, alumnae and potential members,” said Brian Tenclinger, Executive Director of Triangle.  “G.I.N. provided a compelling solution that exceeded all of our goals for conveying the Triangle message online.”

  • Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1987 and has 36 active chapters. A sorority based on serving the Hispanic community, Kappa Delta Chi will have a new national website with conference registration, members-only intranets for chapters, optional local website designs, and a national communication system that links the headquarters and member chapters.   “Kappa Delta Chi seeks to develop members as leaders, and we are committed to growing our organization and supporting our membership with the tools they need to maximize their sorority experience and develop personally. G.I.N. is providing us with a total communications solution. We are delighted about these advances and our partnership with G.I.N.,” said Amy Rodriguez, Information Technology Director and Vice President of Collegiate Affairs for Kappa Delta Chi.

The G.I.N. System currently has partnerships with Phi Delta Theta, Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Mu, and Alpha Xi Delta fraternities.   “We have experience launching our systems and training individual members across a large number of chapters, and our team understands the needs of fraternal organizations, said Fieldman. “We manage the implementation process entirely, so it’s easy for an organization to introduce our tools.”
