KAPPA ALPHA THETA SELECTS G.I.N. TO PROVIDE WEB-BASED ORGANIZATIONAL TOOLS AND FACEBOOK FAN PAGES FOR CHAPTERS Gainesville, FL, March 29, 2010- Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity has chosen Group Interactive Networks (G.I.N.) to provide each of its chapters with web-based members-only organizational tools ("GIN Systems") and customized Facebook fan pages for chapters. "Enhancing technology is important to reaching our goals, and the GIN System tools will improve chapter organization and communication, improving our members' experience. The ability to access the tools from the Web, from Facebook, or an iPhone/iPod Touch, is a great benefit to our members," said Katie Busby, Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity president. "Since the GIN System changes as technology changes, our members have a tool that evolves with the chapter." Each Kappa Alpha Theta college chapter will have a secure web-based "Members-Only" area, which includes e-mail and text messaging groups, an online calendar, secure file sharing, announcements, surveys, voting, alumnae communication, and other tools designed to simplify chapter communication. G.I.N.'s Headquarters Communication System will also allow the national organization to post files, announcements, and calendar events directly into the file folders, announcement areas, and calendars used by each chapter. Members can also access their GIN System from Facebook or their iPhone/iPod Touch to stay connected on the go. A custom fan page for chapters will allow each chapter to enhance its presence in Facebook as well. Much like a Web site but instead inside of Facebook, these custom pages will allow chapters to more easily share information with groups outside of their chapter, including parents, potential members, and university professionals. The Fan Page will link to the Kappa Alpha Theta Web site. "We are thrilled to bring GIN Systems to all of the women of Kappa Alpha Theta," said Ethan Fieldman, G.I.N.'s President. "We know these tools can eliminate the headaches associated with chapter communications and organization, and we have experience launching our GIN Systems for a large number of chapters. We manage the entire process for the organization, so implementation is quick and easy."
